The pandemic pushed many employees into distressing work environments and situations. Working from home came new difficulties in maintaining a work-life balance and feelings of isolation.
Additionally, essential employees carried with them the constant worry of being infected and putting themselves and their families at risk.
A limited number of initiatives address employee mental health needs in Pakistan, particularly for the largely vulnerable blue-collar workforce.
GROW was established to provide knowledge and organizational awareness regarding mental health. By advocating for employee well-being, GROW is lending to the process of developing infrastructure, policies and best practices for a healthy workplace, while encouraging organizations to invest in their teams’ mental health.
GROW aims to address mental health issues that exist in workplaces in various industries and across different job functions, particularly in support and maintenance blue-collar positions.
By providing basic psycho-social education, phone-based counseling, awareness sessions, workshops, mental health screening and reporting, and capacity-building, GROW works closely with clients to address specific employee concerns such as depression, anxiety, burnout, work-life balance, and more.
GROW is currently in its pilot phase and is conducting initial stages of outreach and efforts.
