JOb Purpose

The incumbent will play a key role in supporting IRD’s fundraising efforts. This role is designed for a proactive and resourceful individual who can work closely with leadership to prepare donor pitches, develop engagement strategies, create fundraising collateral, and support outreach to corporate, individual, and zakat donors. The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, mission-driven, and comfortable building systems from the ground up.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Fundraising Strategy Implementation

  • Support in implementation of defined fundraising strategy by developing and coordinating work plans for donor engagement activities.

  • Assist in the preparation of donor pitches, concept notes, decks, and related fundraising materials.

  • Research and profile potential donors through the IRD network and beyond, in line with defined strategy.

Donor Engagement & Stewardship

  • Manage communication and follow-up with individual and corporate donors.

  • Develop and maintain a donor database and track engagement and giving history.

  • Ensure timely acknowledgments, reporting, and recognition of donor contributions.

Communications & Messaging

  • Support in developing compelling donor-facing content, including program packages, success stories, and impact reports.

  • Assist with alignment of messaging with IRD’s brand and fundraising goals in coordination with the Communications team.

Fundraising Events & Activities

  • In line with the laid out fund raising strategy and work plan, organize and support donor events, site visits, and leadership engagements.

  • Coordinate logistics, outreach, and promotional materials for donor-focused activities.

Systems & Internal Processes

  • Set up basic internal systems for fundraising, including tracking tools, templates, and reporting formats.

  • Coordinate with programs, finance, and communications teams to gather relevant material for fundraising.

Partnership Management

  • Facilitate internal and external collaborations, acting as a key liaison.

  • Managing internal communication channels, coordinating meetings, and ensuring smooth collaboration across departments.

  • Oversee the implementation and ongoing management of partnerships, including communication, relationship building, and performance monitoring.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES (KSA)

Required Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Health, Development Studies, Marketing, or related field.

Required Experience

  • 5-8 years of experience in donor relations, fundraising, or communications, preferably in a healthcare or nonprofit setting.
  • Exposure to CSR fundraising or working with high-net-worth individuals is an advantage.

Required Skills

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Understanding of donor confidentiality best practices.
  • Ability to write compelling and donor-centric communications.
