JOb Purpose

The incumbent will lead the implementation and execution of Balochistan Deworming Initiative in Hub and Lasbela. District Coordinator will be liaising with different government stakeholders from the health, education and administrative departments for a smooth process leading up to the campaign. The District Coordinator will keep close coordination and assist with the implementation, monitoring and troubleshoot on-field issues in day-to-day operations as well as during Mass Drug Administration Activity (MDA).

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in strengthening the liaison with the district to co-develop a model and its modalities for deworming.
  • Coordinate with District Management Committee for MDA and ensure smooth execution of training, logistics and drugs management during deworming campaign.
  • Collect relevant data from district stakeholders to assist in the planning phase of the campaign.
  • Build liaison between district governments to ensure all of the arrangement made before the deworming campaign.
  • Coordinate with local community sensitization channels for dissemination of deworming day communication messages in-line with provincial govt. guidelines.
  • Coordinate, assist and monitor drug, material storage and its distribution to the training venues and subsequently to teachers and health workers.
  • Coordinate and assist the district government and Third-Party Independent Monitoring Firm for monitoring and validation of data.
  • Coordinate, monitor and assist the reporting through the reverse cascade.
  • Assist District Management Committees for the development of micro plan, district level training and drug distribution plans.
  • Execute daily reporting mechanism; Ensure backup of reporting forms and completion of regional online database and reporting sheets.
  • Ensure the attendance sheets of training sessions and supervision forms are collected, duly filled, signed and approved from the respective provincial/district health offices or master trainers and its timely submission to IRD finance.
  • Oversee and ensure complete payment disbursement to trainee.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES (KSA)

Required Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Social Science, International Development, or other related fields.

Required Experience

  • At least 2-3 years of program implementation experience. A background in leading, coordinating and facilitating MDA campaigns is an advantage.
