JOb Purpose

The incumbent will be responsible for leading internal and external communications efforts, collaborating with program and corporate stakeholders, to  enhance brand reputation aligned with organizational goals . The position requires innovation, modern communication strategies, and the development of a proactive, influential Communications function.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement a communications plan aligned with the organization’s mission and strategic goals.
  • Introduce innovative methods to enhance how the organization shares its work and engages with stakeholders.
  • Conceptualize and develop high-quality content across social media, website, and digital platforms, ensuring accuracy, engagement, and regular updates, while fostering a proactive approach to strategic audience engagement.
  • Collaborate with program teams to craft compelling narratives and success stories that highlight organizational achievements.
  • Expand the organization’s reach by identifying new platforms and opportunities for outreach, while strengthening relationships with key stakeholders like partners, donors, and media outlets.
  • Coordinate communication campaigns to promote project milestones and organizational achievements.
  • Collaborate with departments to ensure cohesive messaging and provide guidance on effective communication practices.
  • Track, analyze, and recommend improvements to communication strategies based on data and performance insights.
  • Support the head of department in translating strategic objectives into actionable plans.
  • Manage budgets, resources, and timelines to ensure efficient execution and timely delivery of communication projects.
  • Any other ad hoc tasks assigned.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES (KSA)

Required Qualification

  • Bachelors

Required Experience

  • At least 8 years of work experience in communications, preferably in the non-profit sector
  • Experience with health communication in a public health context is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of internal and external communications and management of workflows related to the production of creative assets
  • Solid media relations experience with exposure to issues and crisis management.

Required Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to develop and implement communication strategies aligned with organizational objectives and adapt them to different stakeholders and channels
  • Capacity to think critically and strategically, anticipate communication needs and challenges, and proactively develop solutions to address them
  • Flexible to travel to locations as required for the job
