IRD’s Youth Resilience Program strengthens the psychological well-being and coping skills of young people in educational and vocational institutions across Sindh. Aligned with World Health Organization guidance and informed by IRD’s decade of experience through Pursukoon Zindagi and the Resilient Futures Pakistan Initiative (RFPI), the program integrates resilience-building and preventive mental health support within learning environments.
Through interactive resilience toolkits, Psychological First Aid (PFA) training, SALT (Support, Appreciate, Listen, Transform) workshops, and Theatre of the Oppressed sessions, students and faculty develop practical skills to manage stress, communicate effectively, and support one another.
By embedding preventive mental health approaches within education systems, the program strengthens emotional literacy, reduces stigma, and builds institutional capacity to sustain youth-led psychosocial support initiatives across Sindh.
