JOb Purpose

The incumbent will be responsible for designing, planning, and implementation program activities under the supervision of Deputy Director MCH. Monitor project targets, supervise field teams for community based management and ensure proper flow of data collection processes along with timely reporting to line-manager. The position requires travel for field and research work.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  •  Provide technical and programmatic support to IRD’s Maternal & Child Health (MCH)team in developing, implementing, monitoring, evaluating, and assessing maternaland child health related projects.
  • Supervise staff hiring and provide managerial support to project staff (including fieldteams) stationed at the project site.
  • Act as a liaison between stakeholders, donors and the Government for MCH projects.
  • Contribute to results monitoring and provide reporting and documentation internallyand to external donors regarding IRD’s MCH projects and activities.
  • Conduct field visits to assess the challenges and facilitate implementation as needed.
  • Conduct statistical data analysis to help support project strategic direction and Assistwith project budgeting and maintaining project expense reports in collaboration withfinance department.
  • Supervise and monitor the field team – field supervisor and treatment supporters - to ensure all field operations are executed according to defined SOPs
  • Perform regular project monitoring and evaluation functions, identify implementationdifficulties and operational and strategic issues and recommend appropriate solutionsor course of action.
  • Attend weekly MCH meetings to report progress and challenges.
  • Training of front line health care workers and health administrators.
  • Any other responsibility assigned by the line manager.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES (KSA)

Required Qualification

  • Bachelor's in Public Health / Health Management

Required Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
